Join us for our upcoming Nonprofit Council meeting as we welcome LaQuinta West, Executive Director of Dorchester Seniors.

LaQuinta will share insights into the growing needs of our aging population and discuss how nonprofits and community organizations can work together to better serve local seniors. She will also highlight the strategic partnerships that have helped expand the impact of Dorchester Seniors and strengthen support systems throughout the community.


 

LaQuinta M. West, M.A. serves as Executive Director of Dorchester Seniors, where she leads efforts to connect adults age 50+ with programs, resources, and services that support healthy, active aging. Since joining the organization in 2017, she has helped expand its impact through innovative programming and strategic partnerships with more than 20 local, regional, and state organizations.

A passionate advocate for collaboration and community engagement, LaQuinta is also the founder of She Empowered, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women and teenage girls through mentorship and personal development opportunities. She serves on the Board of Directors for Keys to Change and remains active in numerous community initiatives.

LaQuinta holds a Master's Degree in Family and Marriage Therapy and is a Certified Volunteer Manager. Her leadership has earned recognition as one of the Summerville Journal Scene's "10 Women to Watch" and as a local business leader committed to strengthening communities through service, partnership, and innovation.
